What it means
Means properly drunk, the kind of pished where your cheeks are red, your jacket’s off, and you’re giving everyone hugs you won’t remember. It’s basically shortened from steaming, and you’ll often hear it amped up as pure steamin. Used for nights that start with one pint and end with you wobbling home like a kettle.
Usage examples
"He was pure steamin at the reception, singing Oasis at the top of his lungs, then tried to dance and went straight into the cake."
"Half the wedding party was steamin by the time the cake came out and nobody could find the groom."
"He got steamin at the match and spent the whole second half explaining the offside rule to a lamppost."
