What it means

A mild, slightly old-fashioned insult for someone annoying, silly, or a bit pathetic. Not proper venom, more an eye-roll at the kid who shows off, whinges, or pulls childish stunts then acts smug about it. Handy for petty workplace nonsense or playground drama. Depending on your tone, it can even sound half-affectionate, like you’re just telling them to wise up.

Usage examples

"Dan nicked my Greggs sausage roll and blamed the office ghost. Absolute twerp. Made him buy me two more and he still looked proud."
"Some twerp let off the fire alarm as a joke and the whole office stood in the rain for twenty minutes."
"Don't be a twerp, just apologise and we can all go back to enjoying the evening."

Voices of the people

Theory is all well and good... but what we Magikitos really love is hearing humans in their natural flow. That's why we collect voice notes that people send us on WhatsApp, recording themselves using the expression with a real, street-level example!
