Street voices

Janna Β· United States
"Clock it is similar to period, I guess, in a way, or, you know, it can be said as a term of agreement. That's one way to say it. It's mainly used in, I don't know, like an argumentative type of way, I would say. An example would be, girl, you would not believe what he just did. What? He cheated, and I'm gonna rock his shit. Clock it."

What it means

Means to recognise, call out, or strongly agree with something someone just said, especially when the point is obvious and a bit heated. It often shows up in queer and online slang circles as a punchy little stamp of yep, that’s exactly it. Depending on tone, it can feel like agreement, validation, or a verbal finger pointing straight at the mess.

Usage examples

"Girl, he lied to both of us and still wants sympathy? Clock it. That man is a walking red flag with wifi and audacity."

Voices of the people

Theory is all well and good... but what we Magikitos really love is hearing humans in their natural flow. That's why we collect voice notes that people send us on WhatsApp, recording themselves using the expression with a real, street-level example!
