What it means
You say it when your patience has packed its bags. I’ve had it means you’re properly fed up with someone or something and you’re about to lose your rag. It’s had it is the same idea but aimed at an object, like a phone, car, or telly that’s basically finished or knackered. Either way, the message is simple: done, mate.
Usage examples
"I’ve had it with this laptop, it’s proper knackered, freezes every two minutes. I’m flogging it to CeX and buying something that actually works."
"I have had it with this printer, it eats every other page and the helpline keeps me on hold to dodgy lift music, off to the tip with the thing."
"That kettle has had it, the base wobbles and the lid won't latch, I am pulling the trigger on a new one this weekend."
