What it means
Means completely exhausted, properly done in, like you’ve got nothing left in the tank. Feels a bit old-school and you won’t hear it everywhere, but it’s a neat swap for knackered when you’re wiped out after a long shift, a heavy night, or one brave attempt at the gym. Usually said with a grim little laugh.
Usage examples
"Did a quick jog after work and now I’m kippered, mate. Legs are jelly, so I’m off to the chippy for tea."
"After a double shift and the night bus home, I was absolutely kippered before I even got my coat off."
"Three days of decorating and I'm kippered, the only thing I'm painting now is the sofa with my body."
