Street voices
"A win is a win, basically whatever success it is, whatever win it is, you know, you win at something, no matter how small it may be, it is still a win, you still won at something. It could be, I don't know, you passed an exam, you passed a course, you got paid, literally any small thing, or it doesn't even have to be small, it could be anything, a win is a win, anything positive that's happened to you. An example would be, oh my god bro, I just passed Orgo 2, might be a D, but a win is a win."
What it means
Means any success still counts, even if it is small, messy, barely scraped through, or not the glamorous version you pictured. It is the phrase people use to give credit where credit is due and stop perfectionism ruining the mood. Very internet, very everyday, and honestly a solid antidote to acting like only huge victories matter.
Usage examples
"I got a D in Orgo and my fries were still warm when I got home, but a win is a win and we move."
