Street voices
"Finsta is your, basically, your private Instagram that typically your family won't know about and only your close friends or just certain friends know about. Not everyone in the public knows about it and you don't try to keep it private. An example would be, oh my god, did you make sure you posted it on your Finsta? I don't want my mom to see this."
What it means
A finsta is your fake or private Instagram, the low key account where the real chaos lives. You keep it for close mates, daft photos, unfiltered rants and stuff you would never fling onto your polished main. It is less influencer showroom, more digital back room with the curtain half shut.
Usage examples
"Post it on your finsta, not your main, my mum does not need to see us screaming lyrics in the kitchen at 1 a.m."
Where it comes from
Built by smashing fake and Instagram together. It started as the name for a second account used to dodge the polished performance of the main feed, whether that meant privacy, inside jokes or posting messier real life stuff.
