What it means
A cheeky Aussie put-down for someone being a bit dim, clumsy, or pulling a brain-fade that makes everyone sigh. Named after the galah, the pink-and-grey cockatoo that’s loud, flashy, and stereotyped as not the sharpest beak in the flock. Can be proper insulting or weirdly affectionate, depending on the vibe and who’s saying it.
Usage examples
"You left the esky in the sun and now the snags are swimming. You galah, grab some ice before everyone cracks it."
"You great galah, you've put diesel in the petrol car again, that's the second time this year."
"He's a lovable galah, reversed the trailer straight into the only tree in the whole paddock."
