Where it comes from
It comes from the PogChamp Twitch emote, itself tied to streamer Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez pulling that wide-eyed hype face. From there, chat shaved it down to pog and started using it as a quick blast of excitement when something sick, funny, or ridiculously clutch happened.
