What it means
To serve is to deliver something flawless, usually a look or a performance, with total confidence: she is serving, that outfit serves. Short for serving looks or serving a moment of pure excellence.

Where it comes from
This comes from Black and Latin ballroom culture, then drag culture, where serve meant presenting a look, face, body, or attitude so strong it shut the room up. From there it spread into queer slang online and then way wider, still carrying that polished, high-impact, watch-me-work energy.
